Designer
Carina Seth-Andersson (nata nel 1965) è una designer svedese nota per i suoi lavori in vetro e ceramica, caratterizzati da un equilibrio unico tra forma e funzione. I lavori di Carina Seth Andersson hanno un tocco minimalista che nasconde numerosi dettagli che rivelano la funzionalità straordinaria dei prodotti.
Dopo la laurea presso la prestigiosa Konstfack, University College of Arts, Crafts and Design di Stoccolma, Svezia, Carina Seth Andersson è diventata anche lettrice presso la Beckmans School of Design di Stoccolma.
Nel 1994 Carina Seth Andersson è stata scelta per rappresentare la Svezia alla Triennale di Milano e nel 1998 ha creato oggetti in vetro per la collezione Quite Simply, come parte del progetto per la Capitale Europea della Cultura. Carina Seth-Andersson ha collaborato con diversi marchi di design scandinavi ed internazionali ed ha lasciato un segno anche nel design finlandese: nel 2016 Marimekko ha lanciato una serie di vasi in vetro e tessili disegnati da Carina Seth Andersson e ispirati ai motivi classici del marchio. La collezione si è ingrandita con nuove versioni e colori stagionali ed è divenuta molto popolare.
I lavori di Carina Seth Andersson sono stati in mostra in numerosi musei e gallerie in tutto il mondo, da Helsinki a Osaka mostre internazionali. Inoltre i suoi pezzi fanno parte anche delle collezione permanenti del Victoria and Albert Museum di Londra, dello Stedelijk Museum di Amsterdam e del Designmuseum Danmark di Copenaghen.
