Stacked di Muuto è uno scaffale modulare innovativo che consiste in moduli rettangolari di dimensioni diverse che possono essere combinati in un numero pressoché infinito di modi. Con le unità del sistema modulare Stacked è possibile comporre diversi tipi di scaffali, elementi per dividere gli ambienti o tavolinetti. Il gruppo di designer dello scaffale modulare Stacked, JDS ARCHITECTS, così commenta la propria creazione: “Come essere specifici e generici allo stesso tempo? I sistemi modulari hanno la tendenza ad essere o l’uno o l’altro ma mai entrambi. Noi abbiamo deciso di creare scaffali modulari basati sulle misure generiche di certi oggetti che solitamente si mettono negli scaffali – e queste unità modulari possono essere combinate secondo esigenze e desideri specifici… il risultato può essere un ammasso disordinato di moduli o una griglia ben in ordine per un’archiviazione efficace… o entrambi!”. Con un po' di creatività comporrete il sistema di scaffali che fa per voi - e per un effetto ancora più particolare potrete combinare insieme moduli di finiture e colori diversi.

Designer
JDS Architects, o Julien De Smedt Architects, è un versatile studio di design incentrato su architettura, design, progettazione urbana, mobili e oggetti d’uso. Nello studio di design, fondato nel 2006 da Julien De Smedt (nato nel 1975), lavora un grande gruppo di designer e architetti di talento. I loro tre uffici si trovano a Copenaghen, Oslo e Bruxelles.
JDS Architects ha progettato tra le altre cose un asilo a Copenaghen, la Torre del Trampolino a Oslo e diversi edifici residenziali e spazi pubblici in giro per il mondo. Per quanto riguarda il design di prodotti, lo studio ha disegnato il sistema modulare Stacked per Muuto.
